The new management have decided to use the last loop of 9 holes to be built as an Academy course for beginners and golfers who require lessons with the Pro, and therefore only the original 18 Championship holes will be used for guests (in most cases).

Pestana Vila Sol Golf Course has twice hosted the Portuguese Open in 1992 & 1993, and in 2001 it won the Best Golf Development award. The clubhouse with it's central location is the start and finishing point for the three nines.

Practice is also available at the excellent driving range by the hotel and clubhouse.
