![]() Quinta da Marinha course The Quinta da Marinha course is set amongst beautiful pine trees and bordered by the majestic scenery of Guincho beach. Designed by the famous Robert Trent Jones, it is set in a 110 hectare private estate dominated by pine trees. The architect has worked on the flat terrain, designing a course with five par 5 holes and six par 3's. The most spectacular hole on the course is the 13th - a par 4 of 339m sloping down towards the sea. From the green, the golfer has the Atlantic Ocean as a spectacular background. In fact, the whole Quinta da Marinha course is surrounded by beautiful panoramic views. For most of the course, the fairways face inland, dominated by the stunning outline of the Sintra mountain range. Many bunkers and several lakes add to the players' difficulties, an example being the 10th hole with a green entirely surrounded by water. ![]()
