Quinta do Lago North course

Set in the exclusive tourist complex of Quinta do Lago, the Ria Formosa course - a nature reserve rich in flora and fauna - presents somehat different challenges to the golfer than the somewhat similar Quinta do Lago course. The course has four magnificent par 5 holes, the par 4's are generally dog-legs (except the 10th and 13th), and the par 3's are heavily influenced by the wind and require very accurate shots. The lakes at the 13th and 18th make returning a good score a challenge.

The course was designed by several architects : William Mitchell was responsible for the opening five holes and the 15th to the 18th, while Joseph Lee and Rocky Roquemore designed the course from the 6th to the 14th.
